The purpose of the work - to study the biological properties of the causative agent, improved methods of diagnosis and prevention of listeriosis animals. The method of investigation - Epizootological analysis (investigation of outbreaks of disease among different species of animals in Ukraine and the world), a biological experiment (determine the virulence of isolates of Listeria monocytogenes in laboratory animals), bacteriology (the study major cultural-morphological and biochemical properties of strains of bacteria), statistics (calculation of average statistical numerical performance of the experimental data, determination of the likelihood of obtaining results). Listeriosis is an infection with a natural zooantroponoznyh stand vognischevistyu, occurring with lesions of virtually all body systems, has a significant effect on the nervous, immune and endocrine systems. The disease causes serious social and economic losses due to animal deaths, abortions, reduced productivity, culling products removed from sale of products contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, to restrict their imports and exports, the suspension of production, estimated in the hundreds of millions of dollars. Almost all kinds of animals susceptible to pathogen infection listeriosis, but most are susceptible sheep, pigs, cattle, poultry. Development of this disease contributes to the violation of sanitary rules of detention, transportation and exploitation of animals, which leads to changes in physiological needs and adaptive capacities of their bodies. Recently, the problem of listeriosis is outside of veterinary medicine. Analysis of the epidemiological situation indicates an increase in cases of human infection with this type of bacteria. Extremely difficult to diagnose and prevent disease listerionosiystvo. In this situation, the immunological balance in the interaction between micro-and macroorganism clinical manifestations of disease in animals may be missing. It is this phenomenon related to unexpected outbreaks of disease among unvaccinated livestock or inadequate responses in animals after administration of specific biologics. Information on the biological properties of the pathogen Listeria monocytogenes, which causes listeriosis animals in Ukraine, is insufficient, resulting in possible false diagnosis, epizootic and clinical data. In recent years Ukraine has increased the number of outbreaks of listeriosis in animals, causing significant economic damage to livestock farms. In addition, the animals had chickenpox, are lagging behind in growth and development, not realizing their genetic and productive opportunities and remain listerionosiyamy, representing a danger not only for animals but for humans. Thus, listeriosis is not only a veterinary, and medical problem. Given the above, we believe that studying the biological properties of the causative agent, improve diagnosis and prevention of listeriosis of animals, help to establish effective control over this dangerous zooantroponoznyh infection. R & D results will be introduced in veterinary practice, to allow timely identification of infected patients and listeriosis animals and birds and will help improve the epizootic situation in Ukraine regarding this disease. Provide an effective system of security controls for products of animal origin for Listeria monocytogenes and prevent the occurrence of foodborne disease in humans.
