The object of study - the new low-melting electrolytes-solvents on the base of urea, imidazole, acetamide, electrochemistry and electrodeposition of noble metals and nonmetals, the synthesis of binary and ternary compounds based on titanium, silicon, boron and carbon. Objective: 1. Theoretical and experimental study of characteristics of the electrode processes at the metal/melt the dissolution and deposition of noble metals and nonmetals and their compounds in the ion-organic and oxigen containing melts in steady and unsteady electrolysis modes. 2. The scientific rationale for the selection of new and thermostable highly conductive, environmentally friendly low-melting molten solvents (373 K) and their use as general-purpose electrolytes for galvanotechnics, electrochemical processing of metals, electrochemical synthesis of binary and ternary compounds etc.. Applied goal - creation of the scientific basis for the development of new environmentally sound methods of electrochemical deposition of noble metals (Ir, Ru, Au), non-metals (Si, B, C), high-temperature electrochemical methods of synthesis of ternary compounds Ti-Si-C, Ti-BC with ion-organic and ionic molten electrolytes. Idea of research - on the basis of theoretical analysis and of results of experimental studies of the electrochemical characteristics of complex multi-component melts containing multivalent ions, to forecast and to implement the necessary conditions for the deposition of noble metals and nonmetals and their compounds in the form of powders or coatings of micro- and nanostructures. Research methods: electrochemical (stationary and nonstationary) - to study the mechanism and kinetics of electrode processes at the electrode / molten electrolyte dissolution, precipitation and coprecipitation of metals and nonmetals, spectral, and thermogravimetric - to study the structure and condition of the melts, X-ray diffraction analysis - to analyze the products electrolysis, the method of electron microscope - to determine the structure obtained by precipitation. Based on the experimental study of the electrochemical behavior of noble metals (Ir, Ru, Au) in ion-organic melts-solvents (based on urea, imidazole, acetamide), relationships were established between passivation properties of noble metals and their electrochemical activity and the main features of the electrode processes and, due to this, the requirements were developed for obtaining the cathode deposit in the form of powder or coating. Using spectral methods of investigation, the complexation of noble metal ions with components of the melt was studied . The process of electroreduction of electrochemically active complexes of noble metals and methods for producing powders and coatings of iridium, ruthenium and gold in the form of nanoscale particles and process controlling parameters of the formation of nanocrystals of electrolysis were developed. Thermodynamic study of the electrochemical synthesis capabilities for obtaining of binary and ternary compounds based on titanium, silicon, boron and carbon was carried out. Based on the experimental study of the electrochemical behavior of titanium and non-metals (Si, B, C) in the new mediumtemperature oxygen containing melts, the synthesis of binary and ternary compounds based on titanium, silicon, boron and carbon was realized. Forecast assumptions about the development of the object of research - the study of physicochemical and electrochemical properties of many-electron low- and medium-temperature inorganic and ion-organic melts containing Si, Ti, other refractory metals and nonmetals, the development of theoretical foundations of electrochemical and metallothermic obtaining and processing of these metals and the synthesis of compounds, assessment of physico-chemical characteristics of the obtained metals and compounds. Precious metals, refractory metals and nonmetals, electrochemistry, ion-organic low-temperature melt, medium-temperature oxygen-containing melts, electrolysis, double and triple compound.
