The density and gel-fraction content of the synthesized polymers have been determined. The first series of the samples with different conversion degree of the monomer was synthesized by polycyclotrimerization of dicyanate ester of bisphenol E (DCBE) in the presence of complex catalyst comprising cobalt acetylacetonate (II) and nonylphenol at temperature rising from 150 to 270°C for 8-12.5 h. Using FTIR spectroscopy kinetic studies of curing process were performed and completeness of PC formation was established (conversion of cyanate groups was controllably varied from 80 to 99 %). The DSC results have shown the growth of glass transition temperature of the synthesized polymers along with increasing of conversion degree of cyanate groups. To produce porous PC-based films by thermal degradation of thermally labile fragments of polymer network, the series of the samples of hybrid networks based on PC and the reactive poly(?-caprolactone) (PCL) were synthesized. It was established that the modifier was partially (50-70 wt. %) chemically embedded into the PC structure formed. Chemical incorporation was confirmed also by gel-fraction data obtained. The DSC results have testified to the existence of multiphase structure in the samples prepared. Moreover, the degree of phase separation depended on PCL content in the PC matrix. Using TGA thermal characteristics of the film samples of homo- and hybrid PC were studied. Thermal-oxidative degradation of the both series at temperatures higher than 250 С was found.
