The effective methods of water purification by baromembrane filtration, sorption on sorbents of different chemical nature, water treatment by electrochemical methods and at the application of magnetic field were proposed. There were offered the analytical methods and techniques of biotesting for evaluating the quality of drinking water. The efficiency of purposeful use of microbiological processes for water treatment was shown.
