For the first time shown that preparations of bacteriophages cause moderate increase in the number of T- and B-lymphocytes and a significant increase in natural killer content. First found opposite changes in content subpopulations of T lymphocytes by introduction of drugs into the body of bacteriophages: increasing T helper cells and lower - T-suppressors. For the first time demonstrated the ability of bacteriophages preparations activate some level of immune defense system. For the first time shown that bacteriophage preparations not only increase the content of natural killer, but also stimulate the functional activity of these cells. The first time the major system research content inflammatory cytokines: TNF-? and IFN-?, and IL 10, which does the opposite to them, anti-inflammatory effect in the secondary lymphoid organs and blood serum in normal and bacteriophage preparations treated mice. For the first time shown that preparations of bacteriophages in vivo 7-10 fold increase in the level of immune gamma interferon and moderate (50-60%) increase of tumor necrosis factor. First found opposite changes in the content of interleukin 10. For the first time demonstrated the ability of bacteriophages preparations directly activate cells of the immune system and their synthesis of TNF alfa and IFN gamma. First proven indirect nature of the impact of drugs on the synthesis of bacteriophage IL 10. For the first time shown that preparations of bacteriophages are modulators of specific and nonspecific immune reactions. Of particular interest is their ability to activate cell-type reactions, especially killer effect of NK-cells. These properties of the drug along with the ability to induce synthesis of cytokines allow to predict their use not only as antimicrobial agents, but also as immunomodulators.
