Transient heat transfer of W, Mo and Mg samples is studied experimentally in air with account of radiation heat transfer and convection. Heat flux are expressed analytically. The new expressions for critical conditions of metal particles ignition and extinction are obtained. The mathematical model of heat and mass transfer and oxidation kinetics is created for W, Mo and Fe particles. The oxides scales formation temperature conditions are obtained. Its stoichiometry, dimensions and structure are defined.
