The influence of hydrogen on the metal properties in the macro level is conducted through the fracture stress and the local plastic strain at which the formation of microdefects occurs. The model parameters were determined experimentally for steels VSt3sp and 10HN3MD when tested on a uniaxial tension and compression. Verification of the hydrogen embrittlement model was conducted by comparing calculations with experiments on the formation of cracks in the weld metal when tested on a static 3-point bending.
