Quality, properties and service life time have been determined for diffusion zinc coated tubing and couplings operated in difficult oil production conditions. Study results are given. The obtained data show that there is a real possibility of a considerable (3-5 times and even higher) improvement of corrosion resistance and service reliability of the tubing box joints through replacement of the currently used galvanized or phosphate coatings by diffusion zinc coatings for tubing couplings.
