Objective: the improvement of quality of hot-rolled tapes, sheets and strips on the basis of development of methods automated calculation of resultant parameters of accuracy and their experimental assessment. Research methods: the mathematical modeling of accuracy of resultant geometrical characteristics of hot-rolled tapes, sheets and strips and their experimental studying. Theoretical and practical results: the mathematical models have development of the main parameters of quality of hot-rolled tapes, sheets and strips, the experimental assessment of degree of their reliability is given. Novelty: on the basis of the correct accounting of real nature of stochastic distributions of initial thickness, temperature, mechanical properties, conditions of an external contact friction, sizes of the preliminary roll gap and some other factors have development methods of calculation of such resultant indicators of quality, as a longitudinal and cross-section polythickness, levels and degree of stability of physicomechanical properties, surface roughness and others. Efficiency of implementation: range extension and increase of accuracy of results of forecasting for 10-18 %, decrease in labor input of designing works for 15-30 %, increase of degree of scientific validity of accepted technical solutions.
