Research purpose: to study the synthesis way of lamellar compounds of graphite with different intercalant. Research methods: the chemical, physical-chemical, namely electrochemical and thermogravimetric synthesis methods of lamellar graphite compounds. Theoretical and practical results: the lamellar compounds of graphite which can be used in casting and welding industry, has been obtained. Novelty: the above results were obtained for the first time. The practical significance of the results: one of obtained lamellar compounds of graphite has been used for heat insulation of large casting heads. The developed heat insulation mixture will decrease the casting head weight by 25-30%.Аrea of application: casting and welding industry.
