Purpose of the research is forming theoretical grounds and development of scientific and practical recommendations on bringing economic and environmental development of Ukraine in line with sustainable development principles of EU on the basis of designing and implementation of population coevolution economic and mathematical model. Research methods are system approach, system-dynamic modeling, graphic method, spatial analysis, agent modeling. Theoretical and practical results: 1) definition of the directions of forming the coevolution model of the economic and environmental systems of EU and Ukraine; 2) designing the cognitive signed model of interaction between economic subsystems of two territorial formations with the different levels of scientific and technical development; 3) creation of the cognitive signed model of the economic and environmental subsystems interaction within the framework of certain separate territory; 4) formation of the cognitive signed model of the egoistical and altruistic subpopulation interaction within separate economic subsystem; 5) development and implementation of system-dynamic model of separate enterprise, that belongs to the economic population. Scientific novelty: for the first time cognitive signed models for the description of coevolution process of interrelated economic and environmental systems with different levels of scientific and technical development that contain interacted economic and environmental populations, altruistic and egoistic economic subpopulations are developed; system-dynamic model of separate enterprise that is the part of economic population is designed and implemented, in which peculiarities of the functioning and behavioral strategies in accordance with cognitive signed models of the economic agent and territory is considered.
