The aim of research work is development of modifications to the sub item 4.5.6 of division 4 "general rules" of 'ДБН B.2.3-4:2007' in force, in relation to requirements expansion concerning installation of lamp light on motorways of general use, taking into account ready alternative sources of power supply. Research method is analysis of existent requirements in relation to arranging of lamplight on general use motorways, statistical analysis of Transport Vehicles Accidents (TVAs) in the darkness hours. The results of research works have been implemented into modification № 2 to the 'ДБН B.2.3-4:2007'of "Building of transport. Motorways. Part І. Planning. Part II. Constructions". Social and economic efficiency of development is supported due to reducing of both, accident rate and, accordingly, casualty in TVAs (people's life and health saving, material losses stopping) thanks to the increase of work efficiency in transport branch as well.
