Survey objective is detection of capability/incapability of underground water flow at the surface. Research techniques are analytical based on the experimental ones. The problem related to expediency of sealing methane drainage boreholes and construction of water-drainage system at Zhitomirskaya Mine taking into account of available real data on flooding of Zhitomirskaya Mine workings with water, its hydraulical connections and capability of groundwater leakage into neighbouring mines has been considered. Findings are made as regards capability/incapability of underground water flow at the surface. It is found that there is no real risk of sudden increase of underground water leakage into Komsomolets Donbassa Mine from the direction of Zhitomirskaya Mine m3 seam drowned waste through methane drainage boreholes.
