Purpose of work: to design compressor front casing with increased efficiency according to the document of the "Customer's Technical Requirements" (Appendix No.2 to Contract No.9 (Chief Designer's Department) dated 28.02.2011). Research methods and equipment: analysis of gasdynamic calculations of AI-30 engine front casing has been performed, analysis of strength properties of AI-30 engine front casing has been performed, comparative analysis of existing designs of the Front Casing assembly unit of AI-30 engine and the Support Casing 1 assembly unit of TV3-117VMA-SBM1V(TV3-117) engine has been conducted. Theoretical and practical results of research: as the result of performed work, a preliminary layout of compressor front casing of TV3-117VMA-SBM1V turboshaft engine derivative with increased efficiency has been performed, working drawings of Front Casing assembly unit have been issued in accordance with the layout approved by the Customer.
