The situation was complicated by limitedness of the amount of written sources of the period of Kievan Russ, while great informational potential of the archaeological sources is still not enough involved for the decision of these problems which are of principal importance for understanding of the processes of the formation of the state on the territory of Central-Eastern Europe in the Middle Ages. Complexes of archaeological monuments near the village Shestovitsa in Chernihiv region and near village Mokhav in Homel' region are unique objects, studying of which can help much in decision of the problems, mentioned above. These complexes represent, in opinion of specialists, lefts of the biggest on the territory of the Central-Eastern Europe war camps of IX - XIII cent.
