Part 1 includes the folloving main outocomes. Typical environment monitoring programes and sampling desings for the areas around of the nuclear power plants for its normal operation and also in cases of the emergency situations. Typical environmental monitoring programe desings to be established at the areas around ?ndustrial facilities, which use NORM technologies, including Uranium production Legacy Sites. Basic concept for Environment radiation monitoring systems to be applied and can extend functioning and analytical capacities of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological service has been developed. According to the results of Part 2: a database of the surfacewater radiation monitoring; investigation long-term tendency of contamination of surface waters at the Ukraine (rr. Pripyat, Dnieper, Danube, Dnieper reservoirs); evaluation the role of suspended sediment in the transport of radionuclides, the role of sedimentation processes in self-purification of water masses; evaluation current state of contamination of sediments Dnieper reservoirs; identification long-term trends of pollution have been created. Part 3-4 includes the results of testing and adapting modern radiochemical and spectrometric methods for the determination of the natural radionuclides (U, Th, Ra, Po) in the environment. In Part 5, given the results of adaptation and testing of modern express methods for the determination beta emitting radionuclides (90Sr, 3H, 14C) in the environment. Testing methods in pp.3-5 will be recommend for further implementation in the laboratories of state monitoring network Ukraine. In Part 6, on the base implementation of different modelling systems and monitoring date the doze assessment and environmental risks for the areas contaminated by the Chernobyl accident and the former uranium production were obtained.
