Such models of epileptiform activity as low-magnesium model, gabazine model of seizures and 4-aminopyridine model were tested during investigation. It was determined the character and manifestation of seizures for each model, the ability to stop emerging phenomena using different screening agents and the basic mechanisms involved in the induction and maintenance of this type of activity.
