The method and character of the research work are based on the use of the discrete orthogonal transformations theory, digital processing of signals and images, the information theory, the theory of probability and mathematical statistics, methods of noiseproof coding, psychoacoustics, cryptography, etc. The following basic results are obtained in the course of the research work: 1) The generalized mathematical model of stegosystems is designed, possible types of system attacks are defined, the comparative analysis of existing stegosystems is made on the basis of the designed model and the basic characteristics of stegosystems are defined. 2) The features of human vision and acoustic systems are studied which can be used to achieve the perceptional impalpability of digital watermarks. 3) The problematics of statistical indistinguishability of embedded data for containers-images is investigated. 4) The range of attacks is identified which can be applied to the audiocontainer and the container-image, the ways for stability maintenance of digital watermarks to attacks by compression with losses are offered. 5) The resistant methods of digital watermarks embedding and extraction are elaborated for the protection of audiosignals and digital images copyrights: the method for audiosignals which presupposes the automatic synchronization of digital watermarks in the container; the method which uses the information of the phase spectrum; the method based on the relative replacement of coefficients value of discrete cosine transformation. 6) The realization and testing of the offered methods quality for embedding and extraction of digital watermarks are performed.
