A corresponding methodology, which consists of the following elements: energy analysis based on the rate of cumulative energy demand and energy yield coefficient; environmental analysis by calculating the balance of carbon dioxide emissions; the economic assessment with the definition of net present value of the project, the internal rate of return, simple and discounted payback period; analysis of social influence based on the assessment of the potential number of new jobs created. A comprehensive analysis of the technologies of heat and electrical energy production from various types of biomass: baled straw, pellets from straw, wood chips, wood pellets was performed by developed methodology.
