The work was done at the center of collective use of NAS Ukraine "femtosecond laser complex", located at the Institute of Physics NAS Ukraine. The possibility of spontaneous formation of one-dimensional and two-dimensional periodic structures of micrometer scale (with a period of 5-10 microns) on the surface of a homogeneous transparent singlecrystal ferrite-garnet film after irradiation the surface by focused beam single-mode femtosecond laser was confirmed experimentally. The dependence of the parameters of such self-organized structures on the polarization and angle of incidence of the laser beam indicates that the surface optical waves or surface polaritons are involved in the formation process of the structures.
