For the last years scientific and research institutions of Ukraine removed a number of low erucic and low hlyukozynolat varieties of spring and winter canola, but has not created any variety of technical direction, from which oil can be used for production of biofuels and schrot in animal husbandry. Varieties of foreign breeding is not quite adapted to local conditions. They are not frost resistant (winter canola), more intensely affected diseases especially in forest-steppe zone of Ukraine. Therefore, one of the main tasks of our work was obtaining of high productive of oil varieties of the technical direction, which would be marked by frost resistance, drought resistance, with high oil and protein content. In order to achieve our aim in our work we used the classical methods of plant breeding and also biotechnological methods. In the process of implementation of research work there was analyzed breeding material to frost and drought-resistant expression of forms of canola "00", "000" type, with a high content of oleic acid and protein. There was made cytogenetic analysis of collection materials of canola in order to find forms of canola with fast initial growth in spring - spring and regrowth - winter canola, that will from one side reduce the length vagetation period and from another - will provide an opportunity to spring canola easier to overcome the spring drought and damaging by insects and winter canola - quirkier overcome winter stress.
