The subject of study - the develop effective methodology of locate initiation and propagation of crack-like defects in the structural materials of nuclear reactor vessel and the means of their application. The essence of the project is to establish the characteristic parameters of acoustic emission (AE) signals which accompany the failure of nuclear reactor vessel steel. It will develop the algorithms of the AE sources location (place of failure) taking into account the conditions of maximum sensitivity of the measuring path and the selection signals of microcracks from the background noise. It is planned to create a working model of a portable multichannel equipment for AE-diagnostics of nuclear reactors vessel. The model can become a base for production in Ukraine this class measurement tools for monitoring of high-risk and long-term operation.
