Live weight of the animals we will determine by individual monthly weighing them in the morning, before feeding, throughout the experiment. Scientific novelty of this work is to obtain new data on the impact of weather conditions on the retention of calves indoors and outside in the agro-climatic conditions of Ternopil region. Our results indicate that the retention of calves to 6 - month old in private houses in the open air, as the best way rearing technology, provides: implementation of adequate comfort conditions for the growth and development of young calves, better their physiological development; increasing of stress resistance and adaptive capacity of animals to the action of high temperatures in summer; increasing of economic efficiency of growing calves from birth to 6 - month old by 3.2%; improvingof the realization of the genetic potential of animal productivity - achieving a live weight of calves aged 6 months - 179 kg, will be an increase in average herd 5-7%.
