It has been established that each of the five autochthonous species of the genus Juniperus L.: Juniperus excelsa Bieb., Juniperus oxycedrus L., Juniperus communis var. depressa Boiss., Juniperus foetidissima Willd., Juniperus sabina L. has an individual mean population level of allozyme variation. Population sizes and their isolation is not associated with the levels of genetic polymorphism of species of the genera Juniperus and Pinus. Age dynamics of population gene pools is changed from that in seed embryos to that in the old trees of Pinus sylvestris var. cretacea Kalenicz. ex Kom.: seed embryos (the lowest level of heterozygosity) - young trees - middle-aged trees - old trees (the highest level of heterozygosity). In P. kochiana Klotzsch ex Koch and P. stankewiczii (Sukacz.) Fomin populations of Crimea heterozygosity of seed embryos was significantly lower than that of mother trees. In seed embryos for most polymorphic loci there is a significant lack of correspondence of the observed distribution of genotypes to the theoretically expected under Hardy-Weinberg law due to lack of heterozygotes. Outbreeding levels in natural populations of P. kochiana, P. stankewiczii and P. sylvestris var. cretacea trees of different ages were: tm = 0,639-0,841, tm = 0,689-0,949, tm = 0,690-0,777 respectively. Comparative analysis of cytogenetic effects in seed progenies of P. pallasiana D. Don from natural populations and plantations near large industrial enterprises has shown a significant mutagenic effect of the named facilities, emissions. In the seedling cells the level of abnormalities and their range are significantly increased, the values of nuclear-nucleolar and nuclear-plasma ratios indicate changes in biosynthetic processes. Pinus sylvestris L. colonizes by drift of seeds the waste dumps of mining companies in the steppe zone of Ukraine, mostly quarries and soda production dumps. In the dumps there form the extrazonal stable natural populations of P. sylvestris. The natural process is observed in quarries and soda production dumps. Genetic diversity of P. sylvestris on iron-ore and chalk dumps is high enough and sufficient for further successful colonization of the dump area and formation of stable populations under these conditions. One Ph.D. thesis was defended, an Award of Ukraine for young scientists has been given, two patent applications have been submitted, 1 prognosis, 1 monograph, 30 papers, 38 abstracts have been published.
