Methodical principles of large-scale re-examination of Ukraine soils and the necessary documents to for the regulatory and methodological support are defined. An ecological and genetic soil nomenclature list of morpho-genetic and quantitative parameters for the diagnosis of properties is designed. The deficiencies are detected of existing cartographic materials; the feasibility is proved of their use for the production of soil maps versions. Methodical peculiarities are substantiated of soil mapping when repeating the surveys, the technique of soils mapping is worked out. A documentation package is designed of normative methods of large-scale re-examination of the soil as the part of ecological and genetic nomenclature list and soil mapping techniques.
