Purpose-to synthesize available information on the investigation of migration and accumulation of heavy metals patterns in soils of different landscapes of Ukraine to optimize their ecological status, experimental research absorption capacity of soils of different origin, the study and analysis of the relationship between the absorption capacity of soils with respect to HM and migration capacity, the elaboration of new method of calculating the standard ratios of chemical elements in soils of different absorption capacity relative to the HM and their migration capacity as technical solutions, which is characterized by the technical result. Research methods-the the methodology and techniques of research, laboratory analysis, the methods of theoretical analysis, a systematic approach, the landscape-geochemical, laboratory analytical, comparative analysis, expert assessment of the information and reference documentation, statistics. Soil-geochemical investigations of the spatial redistribution of the TE in the soil cover spent on the slopes of different exposures in a typical geochemical landscape of the south-eastern sub province of the Left-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. Experimental studies were carried out in a series of model experiments. It is shown that the leaching of calcium and magnesium should be considered as the mechanism of adsorption barrier soil system under the influence of HM. Based on the results of research is possible prediction of likely changes in soil properties such as contamination of HM, which are characteristic of physical-chemical system of soils and disperse system - resistant to HM, as opposed to alkaline. As a consequence, in the first instance at technogenic pollution of soil HM changes the acid-alkaline conditions, depending on the saturation of the soil and the level of development pressure. Adequacy of the established relationship between the absorption capacity of soils with respect to the HM and their migration ability to assess the ecological status of contaminated and no contaminated soils.
