Purpose: determine among electronic information resources created in the work agencies, institutions, organizations and enterprises of any form of ownership those that can be attributed to the National Archival Fund. Methods of research: General scientific methods: heuristic, method of system analysis and synthesis of scientific research. Special methods: archival study, method of modelling information process. Theoretical and practical results: the essence of electronic information resources has been studied, the criteria that may allow electronic information resources to acquire the status of archival documents have been determined, the feasibility of their permanent archival storage and prospects for their further use have been proved, ways of further development of archives for working with archival electronic information resources have been defined. The novelty of the study: Researches on this topic have not been previously held. Scope of implementation: Using analytical review as a basis for creating the concept of the life cycle of electronic information resources and a number of regulations that normalize work with electronic information resources that are subject to permanent storage.
