The resulting chiral heterocyclic fluorinated compounds can be used as a "synthetic units" and in the rational design of biologically active substances. Approaches to the synthesis of optically active functionalized derivatives of esters of 2-oxo-4-trifluoromethyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydropyrimidin carboxylic acid have been developed based on the cost-effective organocatalytic transformations of trifluoromethylated heterocycles. The resulting products contain endocyclic quaternary chiral center with trifluoromethyl group and are promising targets to search for bioactive derivatives.
