I., Доктор сільськогосподарських наук Registration Date 09-01-2013 Organization National Forestry University of Ukraine popup.description2 Research object. The forest plantations (coated and uncoated wood sections) of Ukrainian Carpathians and their representations on the satellite images are the research objects. Research goal is to develop a framework for the assessment wooded forest areas of mountainous areas and create maps of coated and uncoated areas of the forest vegetation of the Ukrainian Carpathians in different periods. For the processing of multitemporal and multisensoral satellite imagery and versatile automated interpretation of using the newest methods of data interpretation remote sensing (SVM-classifier, Random Forest classification, etc.). We used modern ground research technologies (like "Field-Map", Vertex). Created map of the forest cover changes could be used for forest change analyze as a result of anthropogenic, biotic and abiotic factors. That allows you to organize information on the trends of forest management and forestry development model in the future. Research methods. The theoretical studies have used general science (observation, analysis, synthesis, experiment and simulation) and special techniques: silvicultural, forest valuation, biometrics, including enumeration and selective taxation, comparative ecology, mathematical statistics and mathematical modeling, and forest taxation interpretation of remote sensing data. Modern computer technology allow you to analyze the spatial distribution of wooded areas, and the latest technology of remote sensing and processing capabilities provide interpretations of their images for the task. Modern remote sensing technologies guarantee the possibilities of estimating forest information that are needed for problems determination. Technologies include improved spatial, spectral, radiometric, geometric and temporal properties of the satellite images. For interpretation of remotely sensed data used inductive and deductive methods of research. KEY WORDS: SPATIAL DISTRIBUTION OF FOREST COVER, REMOTE SENSING DATA, SATELLITE IMAGE INTERPRETATION, MAP OF CHANGING OF THE FOREST COVER AREA STRUCTURE.
