By Raman spectroscopy and polarization microscopy it was shown experimentally that optical and electro-optical characteristics of the ferroelectric colloids are different from the same characteristics of the pure LCs. Order parameter of liquid crystal changed after doping it with low concentrated ferroelectric nanoparticles. The dielectric anisotropy and the birefringence of the colloids that depends on the order parameter were changed correspondingly. Therefore, doping nematic liquid crystal with the ferroelectric nanoparticles enables to modify the physical characteristics of the basic liquid crystal matrix. We proposed an improved method for preparation of ferroelectric LC nanocolloids. This method increases stability of the colloids. These results open new opportunities for application of ferroelectric LC colloids in display technology.
