To reduce the laser power, modifications, welding thermal cycle and the introduction of additional energy in the weld pool is proposed to use a hybrid laser-arc welding. Also installed characteristic defects of laser and hybrid laser-arc welding and ways to address them. With the application of the latter on samples of steel produced x 70 root defect free joints. Indicated prospects of using laser welding processes with filler wire and hybrid two-beam welding and laser welding to produce defect-free root welds on pipe steels.
