The current state of the problem of treating acromegaly is characterized by a significant expansion of both methods of influence on the very somatotropic adenoma pituitary, and the pathophysiological mechanisms of transfer of tumor hypersecretion of growth hormone on human organs and tissue. Objective: To develop and improve methods for comprehensive diagnosis and combined treatment of pituitary adenomas that secrete somatotropin. Improve the quality of care for patients with acromegaly. Object of study: Patients with pituitary adenomas that secrete somatotropin. Materials and Methods: This work was based on the Institute of Neurosurgery. Analyzed 147 cases of pituitary adenomas with acromegaly syndrome treated at the Institute from 2007 till 2012 Methods of diagnosis: clinical, neurological, laboratory (study of growth hormone and CRF (Somatomedin C) tools (stsyntihrafiya, CT, MRI, Ro-graphy skull (sella turcica)). Treatments in the structure of complex treatment - surgery, hormonosupresyvna therapy, radiation therapy , radiosurgery. Purpose of the modern conservative therapy, according to the research does not lead to a cure in pituitary adenomas, as in bromkryptynoviy prolactin therapy requires almost lifetime the drug, and the clinical and laboratory data effect does not exceed transsfenoyidalnoyi effect of modern neurosurgery. However, the use of modern medical therapy and radiation methods to influence the tumor significantly extended the clinical treatment of acromegaly - this, in turn, led to a comprehensive study of optimal treatment regimens in these patients. Particular attention is paid to the study of modern surgery somatotropic pituitary adenomas using modern methods. Analysis of treatment pituitary adenomas are at present allows to improve the efficiency of diagnosis and treatment of pituitary adenomas with acromegaly syndrome.
