The group of positive control (20 patients with cardiac pathology exposed to ionizing radiation at their place of work). Purpose of research - improvement of the efficacy of prevention and drug correction of cardiopulmonary complications occuring at irradiation with a linear accelerator of cancer patients. Methods of research and equipment - clinical. Laboratory (clinical blood count, biochemical blood count, coagulation test, markers of cardiovascular risk and inflammation), instrumental studies (ECG, echoradioscopy with Doppler ultrasound, radiography). Automatic blood analyzer SF-3000 ”Sysmex”, biochemical analyzer ”Express plus”, photometer coagulometric automatic ACL-7000, electrocardiograph FX-326U, complex Medina, US unit ”Toshiba Xario”. Theoretical and practical results - retrospective analysis of the in-patient records allowed establishing the character and incidence of radiation reactions and complications at irradiation of the chest with a linear accelerator. The patients with lung cancer demonstrated the highest values of complications (48.8 % epidermitis, 19.5 % esophagitis, 7.31 % pulmonitis, 14.6 % cardiac rhythm and conductivity disorders. Dynamic clinical instrumental observation of 30 cancer patients during radiation therapy with a linear accelerator revealed complications in lung cancer patients most frequently (19 % epidermitis, 9.5 % esophagitis, 9.5 % pulmonitis). Aggravation of the general state of the patients, progress of chronic heart failure, complication of the manifestations of respiratory failure, requiring drug treatment, were revealed with the absence of diagnosed radiation complications during radiation therapy. Novelty New knowledge about the modern signs and course of cardiopulmonary complications of radiation therapy with a linear accelerator in cancer patients was obtained; the changes in the findings of clinical instrumental examination during the course of radiation therapy were revealed.
