The use of sodium metasilicate as a framework-agent allows to synthesize competitive sorbents for rare earth ions due to the ratio of cost and efficiency in the process of extracting rare-earth ions from aqueous solutions. Samples of phosphorus-containing mesoporous silicas have high sorption properties towards Lanthanum ions, Dysprosium and Neodymium. The highest sorption observed for sample 2, for it the capacity for neodymium and lanthanum reaches 183 and 122 mg / g, respectively. The highest sorption by Dysprosium observed for samples 1 and 9 and is 100 mg / g. The presence of other functional groups has virtually no effect on the efficiency of sorption.
