Samples of zinc activated with such metals-activators as bismuth, antimony and lead have been obtained. The kinetics of interaction between the three-component alloys Zn-Pb-Bi and Zn-Bi-Sb and water with hydrogen evolution in the temperature range 200-325 °С have been established by the volumetric method at high pressures. The rates of hydrogen evolution on interaction between these alloys and water have been determined to be 266 and 2198 L H2/min, respectively, at 325 °C. Studies on the reduction of interaction products of zinc-based energy-storing substances showed that practically complete reduction of zinc oxide takes place at 950 °C.
