The report for the second phase of the research shows the results of scientific theme "Developing the scientific basis of tourism and tourism infrastructure in the Western regions of Ukraine". The enterprises in tourism and tourism infrastructure sphere of the Western Ukraine were selected as the object of the study. The aim of the study is to develop a scientific basis of the optimal development of tourism and quality of its services of tourism infrastructure enterprises. Methods of study - general (analytical, synthetic, logical, systematic), auxiliary (inductive, deductive). Results and novelty - a significant number of scientific publications of domestic and foreign researchers were processed. These data allow us to examine the market environment of functioning of tourism industry enterprises, to determine the theoretical and methodological foundations of the competitiveness of the tourism product in the context of economic security, to analyze the innovative trends in the production of the goods used in tourist infrastructure, to investigate the impact of information technology and natural science to develop tourism, to solve the impact of tourism activity on the environment, to identify the trends and specifics of development of international tourism in the process of integration of Ukraine's economy into the world economy, to study and analyze the use of functional ingredients and dietary supplements in the health food and health food products creating at the eco-safe basis. Degree of implementation - serves as the basis for the research development. Interrelation of the work is - with economic, historical, geographical, technical disciplines, as well as local history and tourism science. It is recommended to use of research results in tourism, local history, ecology and economy. Scope of use - tourism industry, the hospitality industry. Social and economic efficiency of implementation is to improve the quality of tourism services and the expansion of tourism activity sphere of enterprises in Western Ukraine. Conclusions and suggestions. Consideration of the subject will support the formation of highly effective tourist-recreational and health-medical complex in accordance with international requirements, which would give an opportunity to satisfy the needs of both domestic and foreign tourists. Creating such a system will provide the increase of tourist flows and money that tourists spend during each trip, reducing unemployment, conservation and sustainable use of natural resources and historical and cultural potential, attract potential investors to the creation of tourism infrastructure in the Western region of Ukraine.
