The aim of the work is to carry out the complex analysis of current treatment methods of gemstones (irradiation, influence of high pressure and heating, annealing). Research techniques include analysis and determination of the most effective methods of gemstone treatment which are in use throughout the world and domestic jewellery market as well. The results are focused on expert efficiency improving of the State Gemological Centre of Ukraine. The results of the research are presented in the form of a report which includes new knowledges about the treatment methods of gemstones.
