Project aim is developing methods and means for automatic balancing, by liquid, rotors with horizontal axes of rotation and variable rotor imbalance while hydrodynamic effects. Research methods and equipment: the theoretical research of the auto-balancing process is accomplished by means of system analysis and mathematic modeling. The experimental research is completed by using high-speed video-shooting and dynamic photo-shooting. To complete the project the vibration instrumentations were used to measure and record vibrations, photo- and video cameras were used to record movement of liquid. Project results: it has first been developed and researched mathematical model for stationary and non-stationary oscillations of rotors while hydrodynamic effects to explain liquid behavior in the chamber of auto-balancing device attached to rotor with horizontal axis of rotation, on the base of which the automatic balancing by liquid theory (self-balancing) having no analogs has been created; it has first been developed and researched alternative to auto-balancing method for random-directed search of balanced rotor condition, which allows providing operation of rigid and elastically deformed rotors with variable imbalance with vibrations under acceptable limits; it has first been developed mathematical model for rotor oscillations in machined with horizontal axis of rotation that assumes type of supporting components, imbalance location and interconnecting oscillations along all generalized coordinates and requirements to structures of low-vibration machines are formulated on the base of this model analysis.
