The aim of study is the development and research textile chemicals on the basis of Ukrainian surfactants for use in the process of manufacturing of cotton and polyester knitted fabrics. Research methods: research carried out on the basis of physico-chemical and mathematical approaches; direct measuring methods, direct evaluation of measurements and differential method of control of parameters used during experiments: for the first time based on the analysis of physical-chemical and technological indices of efficiency of surfactants the scientifically grounded conception of the choice of ingredients for compositions is developed on the basis of point of view that the priority properties of surfactants as ingredients of textile chemicals are following in order of decreasing their importance: solubilizing ability, the ability to adsorb at interfaces and dispersing ability; the regularity of process of solubilization of substances in aqueous and nonaqueous solutions of surfactants. It was shown that molecules of polar alcohols create the mixed micelles with surfactant, increase their hydrophilicity, dielectric constant and solubilizing capacity and thereby increase the ability of the washing compositions by 20 to 25 % during the cleaning of textile materials; it has been found that physical adsorption of components of elaborated compositions on the fibres occurs according to S- and L-mechanism with formation of the corresponding mono- and bilayers on the surface of fibres and hydrogen bonds with functional groups that promotes the fibre surface modification, regulates their hydrophilicity and provides them the antistatic and soil resistance properties. A scientific basis for the use of the multifunctional compositions with modern surfactant is developed with taking into account their colloid-chemical properties in the textile industry and consumer services. A new high-performance and universal compositions and technology of their use for processing of knitted fabrics are elaborated. The elaborated compositions for the treatment of knitted fabrics are multifunctional and irresource-demanding in comparison with existing analogues.
