Objective - analyze theoretical and methodological fundamentals of private financial institutions functioning within the system of developed financial market infrastructure, determine trends of their development and development mechanism of managing non-governmental financial institutions in order to ensure efficient social and economic development of a state's governing. Scientific and research work is based on system and complex approaches. Conceptual ideas of modern economic theory, scientific works of the leading Ukrainian and foreign economists became the methodological basis of the scientific and research work. Economic processes research and analysis methods: method of scientific abstraction, analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, economic mathematic modeling, comparison, grouping, samples' analysis, correlation and regression analysis. Data processing was carried out with the help of computer technologies and corresponding applications. In the process of the research the following tasks are fulfilled: theoretical aspects of financial market functioning in the Ukrainian financial system are outlined; development features, functional peculiarities and interaction mechanisms of governmental and non-governmental financial institutions are analyzed; social and economic potential of non-governmental financial institutions aimed to meet the constantly growing financial requirements are investigated; methodology and means of investigations of social and economic potential of non-governmental financial institutions are improved; theoretical results are implemented into practice. Outcomes of scientific and research work: mechanisms of social welfare financing; banking failure preventions in the system of anti-crisis management; pension system of Ukraine improvement through the operation of private pension funds are suggested; bank deposits security of market participant are ensured.
