The aim of the research is theoretical motivation, working out of the theoretical and practical suggestions as for the regional economic advantages in the context of globalization. Methods of the research - analysis, synthesis, structural-functional analysis, observations, comparisons, economic modeling. Was proposed to improve the existing theories of comparative and economic advantages taking into consideration modern globalization processes' intensification. It was determined that the increase of the competitiveness of Ukraine as an independent subject of the world economy taking into consideration processes of regionalization and integration is possible by means of national economies', particular regions' structural diversification. It's necessary to develop all economic sectors, including real, secondary, tertiary to actualize the aims of the development. Traditional sectors of national economy for the sake of saving of the previous economic advantages and implementation of the new ones need general modernization, additional investments attraction, new technologies adaption, research and development projects, and competitive products' reproduction. Using a modified theory of comparative advantages gives opportunity for an integrated assessment of regional development upcoming trends, ways of the products competitiveness enhancement on national and regional level.
