The mechanochemical hydrogenation of MgB2 is shown to lead to the formation of amorphous Mg(BH4)2 and MgB12H12 admixture phase. Maximum hydrogen content absorbed after 60 h milling was ~5 wt. %. The study of the Mg-Tb-Co system confirmed the existence of the Tb4MgCo ternary intermetallic compound, new comounds were detected - MgTbCo4 and Tb3-xMgxCo9 (x=1-2), and hydrides on their basis have been synthesized.
