It was shown that the photoreduction is accompanied by lowering of the minimal energy of electron transitions Ebg from 1.8-1.9 eV to 0.5-1.0 eV at 60-min exposure to UV light corresponding to the increase of the sp2-hybridized clusters size from 7-8 to 16-17 nm. It was found that the introduction of graphene oxide in alcohol colloids of zinc oxide results in the dynamic quenching of the photoluminescence of ZnО nanocrystals. The ZnO nanocrystals were shown to exhibit photocatalytic properties in graphene oxide reduction by ethanol. The composites of the partially-reduced graphene oxide with TiО2 Degussa P25, mesoporous TiО2 and titanate nanotubes were prepared. It was found that in cases of Degussa P25 and titanate nanotubes deposition of the partially-reduced graphene oxide onto the photocatalyst surface results in a substantial increase in the photoreaction rate, probably originating from the spatial separation of the photogenerated charge carriers between the semiconductor and the graphene derivative.
