Purpose is research and evaluation of the expected potential short-and long-term radiation and environmental impact from development and operation of Bilanivskyy ferruginous quartzite deposits on the natural and social environment in potential zone of influence. Summarized and analyzed geological and geophysical materials in funds and literary. There were carried out field, laboratory and experimental research on radiological sampling and analyzing of water samples (surface and groundwater sources) and soil, study of rocks core-samples. There were detected radiation state of the deposit (gamma-background radon activity in the soil of aeration zone, water bodies and air). Areas of increased radiation risk were identified and the research results were mapped. Research and expert recommendations, concerning protection measures, engineering solutions and technological measures for minimizing potential radioecological risks, were prepared. This R&D work has scientific-and-technological and practical value.
