Purpose is existing methods analysis and identification of the most effective ones for gemstones treatment. Information and instrumental support for gemstones treatment concept will be developed. Methods are heat treatment, irradiation, thermal diffusion painting, and treatment by different compounds. There were selected information about gemstones treatment methods, defined the requirements for creation of modern information support of gemological activities; systematized gemstones database with information about their physical properties, origin, data about jewelry value and methods of instrumental treatment. The work is aimed to improve examination activities of the State gemological center of Ukraine by defining new methodological techniques for gemstones treatment and development of information and instrumental support concept for these processes.
