The object of study is to establish the regularities of macroscopic- and microscopic consequences of hydrogen interaction with metals under system increasing the pressure of gaseous hydrogen at temperatures below and above the critical point of the Pd-H system, to experimental investigate the form-changing of palladium plate under hydrogen consequences, and to build a physical model of hydrogen-elasticity form-changing phenomenon based on established experimental regularities. Investigation's methods: methods of experimental physics using special hydrogen-vacuum devices (HVU-2, HVU-3); method of computer frame by frame analysis of video recording of form-changing of Pd and a-PdHx; method of measurement of nano-hardness and Young's modulus of palladium and palladium hydride - "Nano Indentor G200"; methods of informetric study and predictive analytics. There are performing analytical review of world hydrogen energy development and the main achievements of hydrogen materials science. A new hydrogen-vacuum chamber was designed and built, and an experimental device HVU-4 was modified. There are no analogs of the device in the world. There are experimental established physical regularities of phase decomposition of intermetallics to hydrides and a-Fe. There are established fundamental physical regularities of palladium plate form-changing induced by hydrogen, depending on hydrogen pressure, temperatures and at the different rates of hydrogen supply to the plate. New data of nano-hardness and Young's modulus of palladium and its hydride are obtained. There is developed a new physical model of metal form-changing phenomenon by hydrogen effect.
