Object of research: age-experience regularities of human adaptation to shift work. Purpose: to reveal the age-experience regularities of human-operator adaptation to a tension shift work under round-o-clock industry and to develop measures on prophylactics of unfavourable consequences of tension shift work on the workers' health. Methods: informative, psychological, physiological, chronobiological, hygienic, mathematic-statistical. It is revealed that with an increase in age and experience in operators the short-term memory volume decreases and attention switching-over delays being kept within the higher than average marks due to the mean group data; quality of cognitive performance does not decrease against the background of unfavourable changes in bloodcirculation system functioning including those associated with coronary pathology development. At the night shifts the age-experience imbalance in bloodcirculation system regulatory mechanisms has been found. Age-experience increase in the frequency of the single ventricular extrasystoles has been shown at the periods of night shifts associated with the decrease in information processing efficiency and accident rate increase (5-7 a.m.) and also at the day time periods of maximal realisation of workability (9-11 a.m., 6-7 p.m.). The leading diapason in age-experience adaptation of the bioelectrical activity of the brain to the tension operator work is the beta diapason; changes in its power turn into tension phase of the general adaptation syndrome by Selye under day shifts working - beyond the 40-45 years old, under night shifts working - at 20-40 years old, after that - turn into the phase of adaptation resources exhaustion. The patent on the intellectual property object has been received. Recommendations on the prophylactics of unfavourable consequences of tension shift work on the workers' health have been elaborated. Research results will be used in future studies to improve the physiological and hygienic standards of operator shiftwork. AGE-EXPERIENCE REGULARITIES OF ADAPTATION, CIRCADIAN BIORHYTHMS, SHIFT OPERATOR WORK, WORK CONDITIONS, 12-HOUR SHIFTS Conditions of the report obtainment: according to the SRW Consolidated plan, 01033, Kiev-33, Saksagansky St, 75, State Institution "Institute for Occupational Health of NAMS of Ukraine".
