The analysis of the international experience of the mechanisms of the Kyoto Protocol to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (Clean Development Mechanism and Joint Implementation) in the work of replacement of obsolete lighting fixtures for modern LED devices. This paper presents the study on the possibility of applying the approved methodology for calculating greenhouse gas emission reductions for JI projects to replace existing fixtures in the public and utilities sector of Ukraine on advanced LED devices. A draft of JI (PIN) to replace obsolete lighting fixtures for modern LED. The studies of the potential of large-scale introduction of LED lighting in public services and the public sector in Ukraine, it was found that, under this project, the replacement shall be subject to more than 24.5 million units of lamps, installed in place of the traditional ones.
