Purpose of the study - fundamental research in evolutionary-ecological features of epizootology of rabies at modern evolutionary stage of infection, the study nosological geography and comparative epizootology of rabies in Ukraine and Europe, study of particular epizootological situations features (cases of rabiesof domestic animals and humans); supervision of epizootological situation of rabies in Ukraine regions and Europe. Methods of research - descriptionary-evaluative principles and descriptionary epizootological research techique by the method of systematization and formalization of data of systematic or randomized sample of rabies incidence registration results . Original material for epizootological and ecological analysis served primary statistical data and results of field and laboratory, experimentally clinical studies and observations that were carried in the Department of epizootology and Organisation of veterinary work laboratory of NULESU and the Institute of Veterinary Medicine NAAS of Ukraine, veterinary agencies of State Veterinary Service and private veterinary hospitals in Kyiv and Kyiv region. Fundamental analysis of ecological and epizootological features of rabies showed that at the modern stage rabies situation in Europe defines the epizootological situation in the eastern Europe countries - The Russian Federation, Belarus, Ukraine, Croatia, Romania. Epizootological analysis of situation in European countries shows the growth animals rabies morbidity (the number of diagnostical cases of rabies in Europe incresed in 20%). Study of species composition of rabies in Ukraine and Europe shows that the segment of stres tolerant carnivores rabies morbidity is 56.1%, and 32.6% in foxes. Were created the basic molecular epizootology concepts (as the directions of futher epizootology development), forwarded towards the study and understanding of molecular processes and mechanisms of epizootological processes development, whitch gives us the ability to summarize and interpret data at pathogen's genetics evolution, ecology.
