The methods and algorithms of three level (sub-phonemic, phonemic and morphemic) speech signal description are developed. Procedures for speaker adaptation and for accounting of pronunciation variation in spontaneous speech are developed. A technology that allows to read aloud arbitrary orthographic Ukrainian texts in the neutral and expressive styles while maintaining a speaker's peculiarities of voice and pronunciation is developed. This technology was tested during the development of speech synthesis of an expressive female voice. The technology of oral phrase interpreter based on the proposed principles and methods of semantic interpretation is created. The achieved results enabled the development of a number of speech information technologies and experimental systems, in particular, the system for keywords search in continuous speech, the system of automatic transcription of audio recordings, the system of interpretation of continuous phrases within subject areas, and the system for reading aloud SMS messages written in Ukrainian.
